Mrs Louise Morton holds the rank of 3rd Dan Black Belt within the World Tang Soo Do Association. Mrs Morton has been training in Tang Soo Do since 2004 after initially joining Northern Tang Soo Do in Redcar in the North East of England. While training at Redcar she instructed at a Tiny Tigers class where student’s ages ranged from 5-8, the majority of those students have since progressed through the ranks. Mrs Morton moved to Cambridgeshire in 2010 and has been training under the European Director and 7th Dan Master belt holder, Master Khan since arriving. Over the years she has competed in many competitions, including Nationals, European and World Championships.
Her achievements at competitions include a 1st place in the World Championship Weapons Division in Florida 2008 and she achieved 1st place in Forms, Weapons and Sparring at the European Championships in the Netherlands, in 2011, to receive a Grand Champion cup, she has also achieved multiple National Championship medals over the years.
Mrs Morton is fully dedicated to the World Tang Soo So Association and has attended all training, seminars, competitions and general Tang Soo Do events open to her, including Black Belt Clinics with GrandMaster Beaudoin and Grandmaster Strong. Mrs Morton is a full instructor under the World Tang Soo Do Association and is fully insured; CRB checked and holds a First Aid Certificate.
Mr Gary Morton is a 2nd Dan Black belt and also started his training with Northern Tang Soo Do before switching to Master Khan’s classes when he took a job in St Ives. He has competed in many competitions across the country and in Europe as well as going to the World Championships in 2008 and has been National Sparring Champion for his division. Mr Morton likes the physical side of Tang Soo Do with an interest in the fitness aspects of the class and also likes practising basic techniques and sparring. Mr Morton is a full instructor under the World Tang Soo Do Association and is fully insured; CRB checked and holds a First Aid Certificate.
Mr Joseph Morton started training with the World Tang Soo Do Association at the age of four. He has grown up with regular training as a way of life and has trained under Master M Silk and Master A Silk of Northern Tang Soo Do and more recently under Master Khan. He attained the rank of first dan black belt at the age of ten, which is the youngest age at which the World Tang Soo Do Association allows juniors to test. He currently holds the rank of 2nd dan. He has attended World, European and National Championships and picked up trophies in some of these for forms, weapons and sparring. Mr J Morton has a particular interest in one step sparring techniques and the applications of forms and is always thinking up new modifications for the core syllabus techniques.
Mr Bradley Dearnley is a 2nd Dan Black belt who has trained with Master Khan from being a white belt. He has competed and had success in Tang Soo Do competitions. He has won first places in National championships for sparring division, hyungs and weapons. Mr Dearnley has great skills and kicking ability and this was shown when he was invited to try out for the Olympic Tae Kwon Do team for the Rio Olympics.
