He earned his 1st Degree <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Black Belt on May 12th, 1963 at a test in Inchon <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Korea. His Dan number is 005661. His studies in <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Korea were the beginning of a life-long <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">commitment to Tang Soo Do. He has taught <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">thousands of students in the Waterbury area for <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">more than thirty-five years and has promoted <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">over three hundred Black Belts and ten Masters. <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Grandmaster Beaudoin teaches many of his own <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">classes including Tiny Tigers, Little Dragons, <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Advanced Children and Cho Dan Bos, as well as <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">the Black Belt Excellence class. Of his teaching <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">he says &#8220;My favourite part of Tang Soo Do is <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Teaching the Karate Kids programs, the Tiny <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Tigers And Little Dragons classes. I also enjoy <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">contributing to the International Black Belt Clinics <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">following the World Championships. <a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wpadmin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/34.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-70\" src=\"https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wpadmin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/34.jpg\" alt=\"34\" width=\"162\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a>I will <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">continue to train and serve in the WTSDA as long <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">as students express the desire to learn, as long <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">as people want to improve, wherever people <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">yearn to reach their potential. The rewards <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">coming to me can be seen in their eyes. There is <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">no price on the value of a facial expression <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">showing appreciation, gratitude and joy that <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl\">comes from teaching another. One of my goals is to complete a Karate Kids Manual for our <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Association. Another is to continue promoting the practice of Ki Gong for health purposes to our <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">elder population. In general, I would like to use our martial art skill and knowledge to foster <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">healing and general wellbeing.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xr_tl\"><a href=\"https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wpadmin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/129.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-72\" src=\"https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wpadmin\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/129.png\" alt=\"129\" width=\"168\" height=\"218\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/129.png 168w, https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/129-100x129.png 100w, https:\/\/swaveseytsd.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/129-150x194.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #000080;\">On July 17th 2010, following a proclamation signed by <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"> <span class=\"xr_tl\">over 100,000 members of the World Tang Soo Do <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Association, and after 28 years as head of our <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">association, Grandmaster Shin accepted the honour of <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">ninth Dan at a special ceremony held at the World <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Championships in Greensboro North Carolina. Making <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">way for Master Beaudoin to be promoted to 8th Dan <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Grandmaster.<\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">On July 9, 2012, Grandmaster Beaudoin assumed the <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">role of Grandmaster and Interim President of the World <\/span> <span class=\"xr_tl\">Tang Soo Do Association after the passing of our <\/span><span class=\"xr_tl\">founder Grandmaster J C Shin<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Grandmaster Beaudoin began his Tang Soo Do career in 1962 while stationed in the U.S. Air Force in Osan, Korea and training under Grandmaster J C Shin.
